SRBM
SRBM stands for Short-Range Ballistic Missile, which is a type of missile designed to travel relatively short distances, typically less than 1,000 kilometers, following a ballistic trajectory.

TECHNICAL DEFINITION
A Short-Range Ballistic Missile (SRBM) is a surface-to-surface ballistic missile with a maximum range of less than 1,000 kilometers, characterized by its parabolic trajectory and often used for tactical or theater-level strikes against proximate targets, frequently employing conventional or sometimes WMD warheads.
BACKGROUND
Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), formerly Theater High Altitude Area Defense, is an American anti-ballistic missile defense system, deployed since 2008, designed to intercept and destroy short-, medium-, and intermediate-range ballistic missiles in their terminal phase. The THAAD interceptor carries no warhead, instead relying on its kinetic energy of impact to destroy the incoming missile. THAAD was developed after the experience of Iraq's Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War in 1991.
