MRBM
An MRBM, or Medium-Range Ballistic Missile, is a type of missile designed to travel in an arc-like path and strike targets located typically between 1,000 and 3,000 kilometers away. They are often used for regional strikes.

TECHNICAL DEFINITION
A Medium-Range Ballistic Missile (MRBM) is a classification of ballistic missiles possessing a range capability generally defined between 1,000 km and 3,000 km, designed for delivering payloads, including conventional or nuclear warheads, against regional adversaries or strategic targets within a specific theater of operations.
BACKGROUND
Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), formerly Theater High Altitude Area Defense, is an American anti-ballistic missile defense system, deployed since 2008, designed to intercept and destroy short-, medium-, and intermediate-range ballistic missiles in their terminal phase. The THAAD interceptor carries no warhead, instead relying on its kinetic energy of impact to destroy the incoming missile. THAAD was developed after the experience of Iraq's Scud missile attacks during the Gulf War in 1991.
