Leonidas
Leonidas is a type of advanced weapon system that uses powerful microwave energy to disable or destroy enemy drones, especially drone swarms. It's designed to protect personnel and critical assets by disrupting or 'frying' the electronics of hostile unmanned aircraft.

TECHNICAL DEFINITION
Leonidas is a C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) directed energy weapon system developed by Epirus, leveraging high-power microwave (HPM) technology to neutralize or disable hostile drones and swarms through electronic warfare and soft-kill disruption. Its primary function is robust force protection and critical asset defense against evolving aerial threats.
BACKGROUND
Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina, nicknamed "El Jefe", was a Dominican military officer and dictator who ruled the Dominican Republic from August 1930 until his assassination in May 1961. He was the 36th and 39th president from 1930 to 1938 and again from 1942 to 1952. He also served as the first generalissimo, the de facto most powerful position in the country at the time from 1930 until his assassination. Under that position, Trujillo served under figurehead presidents.
