Golden Dome, the English translation of the Hebrew 'Kipat Barzel' (כיפת ברזל) and ubiquitously known as Iron Dome, is an Israeli mobile all-weather short-range air defense (SHORAD) and C-RAM system developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems to counter rockets, artillery, and mortars using Tamir interceptors.
