EC-37B
The EC-37B is a U.S. Air Force aircraft used for electronic warfare, specifically designed to jam and disrupt enemy radar, navigation, and communication systems from the air. It's a modern replacement for the older EC-130H Compass Call plane.

TECHNICAL DEFINITION
The EC-37B Compass Call is a United States Air Force (USAF) Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) aircraft developed by BAE Systems and L3Harris on a modified Gulfstream G550 airframe, tasked with conducting stand-off jamming and offensive electronic warfare (EW) to suppress and degrade enemy command and control (C2) networks, air defenses, and radar systems.
BACKGROUND
The EA-37B Compass Call is an electronic warfare aircraft based on the Gulfstream G550 entering service with the United States Air Force with the first example delivered on 23 August 2024 to Davis–Monthan Air Force Base for crew training. The plane is replacing the EC-130H Compass Call.

DEVELOPERS
Organizations developing technology related to EC-37B.
Serves as the prime systems integrator for the EC-37B program, responsible for modifying the Gulfstream G550 airframe and integrating the advanced Compass Call electronic warfare mission systems.
Develops and supplies the core Compass Call electronic warfare (EW) mission payload, the system that provides the aircraft's offensive electronic attack capabilities.
A subsidiary of General Dynamics, Gulfstream manufactures the G550 business jet which serves as the aircraft platform for the EC-37B, providing the required speed, range, and altitude performance.
The military service branch that is the customer and operator of the EC-37B. The aircraft is being acquired to replace the USAF's legacy fleet of EC-130H Compass Call aircraft.
Manufactures the BR710 turbofan engines that power the Gulfstream G550 platform, enabling the EC-37B to operate at high altitudes for extended periods.
